Page 3 of 2026 is in FULL swing, and I (Cilla) cannot believe I’m sitting here—three days post-elopement—writing the first blog post of the year.
But honestly? That feels aggressively on-brand. I’m a blogger through and through, after all.
This post was 1000% inspired by my sweet copywriting soul sister over at Hello Co Creative, so shoutout to Amy—and to every other kickass creative I mention along the way today. Credit where credit is always due.
I wish I were a Type A girlie with her ducks in a neat little row before January 1st.
I am simply not that girl. And spoiler alert: 2026 will not be the year I magically become her.
What did happen in 2025, though, is that I finally understood why the woo girlies are obsessed with ✨manifesting✨. I made my first-ever vision board, blending personal and business goals together—and when I say EVERY. SINGLE. THING. came true… I’m not exaggerating.
It was iconic.
So naturally, the 2026 Vision Board is currently in the works. And something tells me this year is about to be my most dramatic season yet—right on cue with every Bachelor Nation premiere.
P.S. Who’s watching Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette?? Slide into our IG DMs immediately—I need your takes. 💭

This has been a work-in-progress since Q4 of 2025, as we’ve been working closely with our VA/OBM, Claire, to clean up the backend of Kinfolk.
Now that the chaos has been sorted? It’s time to refine, so our systems actually support us while we move through projects this year.
For those who are new here (or just nosy—same), these are the platforms we use literally every day:
CRM: Dubsado
Project Management: Notion
Email Marketing: Flodesk
Storefront: Stan Store
Calls: Butter
Late last year, we also worked with Fran from The Passions Collective on a full Client Experience Audit. That audit is now our roadmap for tweaking systems BTS—with one goal in mind:
better experiences for our clients and easier lives for us.
Win-win.
Over the last few months, we’ve accidentally (but proudly) become known as “Visibility Girl” and “SEO Guy.”
These masterclasses are our way of deepening that authority—specifically around blogging and SEO while making the information actually usable, not overwhelming or gatekept.
In 2025, we collaborated with Nectar Design Co on two copywriting templates paired with their Showit website templates. And obviously… that lit a fire.
So in 2026, we’re building our own copy template shop—starting with niche-specific templates.
First up? Therapists. Because I am a therapist, and respectfully… most therapist websites are janky as hell.
The long-term vision is a full shop housing:
We track our community growth using a Notion template from Xanthe Appleyard, and 2026 is all about steady, sustainable growth—not viral chaos.
Here’s what we’re aiming for:
Instagram: 5k Followers (currently 1,368)
Tiktok: 2k Followers (currently 39)
Email List: 1k Subscribers (currently 109)
Threads: 2k Followers (currently 409)
Substack: 500 Subscribers (currently 6)
Website Traffic: 1k/month (currently 49/mo)
Pinterest: 100K/month (currently 90/mo)
At the end of Q3 2025, we hired the absolute best bookkeeper on the planet: Making Margin Bookkeeping.
2026 marks our second full year in business, which feels equal parts thrilling and “oh shit this is real life.”
Our financial commitments this year:
If you’ve been around before (specifically 2025) you already know the cult-like following we have for miss Sara Noel – Copywriting Mentor.
TL;DR: We hard-pivoted from Pinterest + blogging management to copywriting + blogging management in February 2025 because of Sara’s course—and it genuinely changed our lives.
Success Story is a mentorship for copywriters, now primarily Slack-based, and I’m beyond excited to have Sara in my corner this year.
2025 was for building.
2026 is for momentum.
Search Club SEO Membership is a no brainer… SEO Guy is on the team after all.
Mariah has been a trusted resource for us for years, and her approach to SEO is refreshingly no-BS—with just enough ✨nuance✨ to keep it human.
Yes, I’m biased.
No, it’s not undeserved.
Lauryn has an uncanny ability to take my squirrel-brain ideas and turn them into designs that make me gasp (see: our Portfolio Page). With masterclasses and a full shop coming in 2026, we need a designer who gets Kinfolk—and that’s her.
We also have brand photo updates coming in early Q2 (📸 Shelby Jane Photography), and Lauryn will help us roll those out seamlessly.
Now, I couldn’t write this blog without sharing our 2026 ins and outs.
1. PLANNING OUR MEALS:
We are an ADHD squirrel marriage. Planning, shopping, and cooking used to feel impossible.
The solution? A dry-erase calendar with food themes.
Shockingly, it cured our “eating out every night” era.
2. JOYFUL MOVEMENT:
Bike rides. Group fitness. Golf era.
Our new place is next to a golf simulator and across from a course—so yes, golf content is coming.
3. WEEKLY MONEY CHATS:
A no-buy year in 2025 taught us where our money was actually going. Weekly check-ins are staying.
4. CRAFTING MORE, SCROLLING LESS:
Scrapbooking. Crochet. Coloring. Clay. Junk journaling.
Brick ads are my final boss.
1. FILTERING:
No more censoring ourselves for palatability.
No more filtering images or opinions.
2. MESSINESS:
ADHD isn’t an excuse to live in chaos. We’re done with catch-all piles.
3. CLUTTER:
If it can be photographed and released—it’s gone.
