“Don’t worry about that ball, that stuff over there is deep!”

What does my wife do?

She’s knee deep in the fescue…

IN BETWEEN

TWO FAIRWAYS

Just casually

Cilla has a very committed relationship to her pink Nitro golf balls.

Like too much.

We’re playing Golf with some friends, at BY FAR the nicest course we’ve ever played and Cilla has a swing breakthrough early in the round and is SMOKING the ball. 🏌️

Around half way through the round she gets a little wayward off the tee.

We pulled up on the fairway to hit my ball and what I thought would be Cilla taking a drop beside me.

She did not.

“I had literally just told her “Don’t worry about that ball, that stuff over there is deep!”

And when I say deep, I mean like over your knee, some sections coming up hip high.

Now listen, Cilla does NOT stomp through the weeds for nothing.

And in this case she was DESPERATELY looking for her little pink golf ball. 🩷

Now you might be wondering why she was THAT deep in the weeds, I still am too honestly.. BUT, I do know that she takes her ball count very seriously.

You might be wondering how this even connects to SEO, I’m still wondering that too honestly… but what I do know is that you, First name / friend, take your SEO seriously—or at least are trying to (which, btw, so happy you’re here).

HERE’S THE THING

You can use ChatGPT to see if the chatbot is recommending your website to your ideal clients!

I know, I know we all don’t support AI, or even use it. I hear you, but we do know that AI searches are the fastest growing way that people are searching on the internet.

So with that, people seem to LOVE to ask more in depth questions inside of their chat bots rather than on Google.

HERE’S WHAT TO DO

⛳FIRST: This will only work if you use a Chatbot that is unfamiliar with you. When you do this make SURE you use an incognito mode browser, are not using your Chatty account, and have selected ‘unpersonalized’  or it will be biased.

⛳SECOND: Ask a question that your potential client might ask. For our test we used the question “Is there a blogging mentorship that includes SEO support?”

⛳THIRD: Sit back and see what chatty Cathy has to say about it! From there you can get more specific, ask why it didn’t recommend your service, ask specific questions about your offer to see how clear it is, or any other question you can come up with. You can see an example of this below!

At the end of the day the AI genie is out of the bottle

I don’t think AI will take our jobs, it’s soulless.

But I do think that AI has already changed the ways that humans interact with computers, and the internet.

As more people continue to use AI to ask in-depth questions, look for specific services, and ask things that Google searches just don’t answer—AI search is something we’ll need to stay up to date with.

With that being said, I’m sure this won’t be the last Skratch about AI, hopefully we’ll all have some more positive associations next time around. (One more AI flyer and I’ll lose it 🤪)
